Windows 10: why wont my mic connect to my pc?

no matter how much mics i buy it connect when i plug it in, right now i just bought the Blue snowball ice and i plugged it in and nothing. When i talk in discord nothing happens. how do i fix this please help ive wasted so much money for nothing to work

USB Mic Problems.

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

 

Regarding the connection of my mic and pc

There’s a suggestion on their website that says these mics connect with specific software - mixing software which has its own power supply. It appears to be intended for DJ equipment rather than PC.

 

PC wont connect to network.

I have a HP computer that is set off aside that I am going to use for folding and for some reason it wont connect to my network. I have the modem connected to a switch, and from there my computer and the HP is connected, but I can get a connection but not my HP comp. Now when I hit repair it says that it couldn't do anything because it stops at IP renewing. I have even went into networking and changed the network connection to the top of the list.

See I hit repair and it says that it is renewing the IP address but it doesn't, then error.

How can I get it connected to my internet?
