Windows 10: Why wont my old drives from a windows 10 system not work via sata when I put them in to my...

I have a new PC with windows 11 installed. But I have old drives from my old windows 10 PC that I forgot to attach to the motherboard when upgrading from windows 10 to 11 on that new system. If I plugin the drives I keep getting blue screened and now I can't access those any more. How should I fix this?

IDE with SATA wont recognize

Hi all!
I tried today an old IDE i had 3 years ago
The IDE itself works
It turns out that the computer wont recognize the SATA drive 1TB i have
Any suggestions?

Also, when i formatted with windows 7, it didn't install the updates
For example, gpu, network drivers, mouse etc

And in device manager, it even writes it Hitachi 1TB

Now that I hooked up new SATA drive pc wont boot on old drive?

I got a new sata drive and hooked it up along side my old ide drive.Was planning on copying everything I need from ide to sata. I got into windows once, but now that I rebooted I cant get past the beginning of windows. So what I was going to do is just install windows on the sata drive but when I remove the ide drive and try to install windows it tells me there is no drive connected? I have no idea what is wrong, seems like my old drive is now somehow corrupted. How do I get Mobo to recognize Sata drive? *Bang Head :banghead:
