Windows 10: Why won't my xbox app open, update, uninstall or reset on my pc?

My Xbox app hasn't been working for a while and I can't figure out why, I've made sure I'm signed in on other linked apps. I've tried to update it, reset, terminate it and fix it. None of those work and when I click the update button in the Microsoft store it comes up with "Code: 0x80080204"

Cannot get XBOX Gamepass App to open/uninstall

1: **Update Xbox app

Open Microsoft Store then Click 3 dots

Select Download and Updates >

Update Xbox app or click Update all

Xbox app isn't listed in the Download and Updates. I clicked Update All.

No change to Xbox App behavior.

2: **Run the troubleshooter:

Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.

Runs until it gets to the "Reset an app" window. I clicked "Open Apps & Features", chose "Advanced Options" under "Xbox", chose "Terminate", "Repair" (Got Checkmark), "Reset" - "Reset" (Got Checkmark), and finally "Uninstall" - "Uninstall" (Got "We couldn't
uninstall Xbox......0x80073cfa...").

No change to Xbox App behavior.

3. **Reset the Microsoft Store cache

Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

Opens a window with header "C:WINDOWS\system32\wsreset.exe". After about a minute the window closes.

Xbox App is one of the built-in applications on Windows 10. To uninstall it from your computer, you have to perform the following steps using the Windows PowerShell:

• Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.  
• Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.  
•  Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage
• Hit Enter.  

If you are unable to uninstall the app, reset Windows Store to clear the store cache and try to uninstall the Xbox app again.

Here's how to reset Windows Store:

• Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.   
• Click on Command prompt (Admin).   
• Type wsreset.exe, and then hit Enter.

Want to UNINSTALL XBox

I done the uninstall procedure per your instruction, but it did not work. The uninstall button for both X-Box apps,are greyed out.They show advanced,but when you click it,it shows a reset button this does not uninstall.Please Help?
