Windows 10: Why wont PC connect to printer?

It all started when the end user restarted her computer to finish some updates and left the office. She comes back to find the updates are still in progress wile the computer reboots, so keep one tells her to do a hard shut off and restart it.


Next thing she knows the printer displayed "unable to print" even the printer shows it's not connected.


I have uninstalled the printer through control panel and powershell and made sure powershell didn't show the printer.

Went through admin tools and printer management and deleted the drivers through all printers, drivers and anywhere else the printer or driver may appear.

I went to the printer spool service.msc I paused the spool then went to regedit and found /TCP/IP ports/ Ports and deleted the saved ports since it's a network printer. I restarted the computer checked for updates and no updates where needed.

I re installed the printer using TCP/IP used a new driver from the manufacturers website that works everywhere else and the printer installs but just doesn't connect.


Every other computer will connect and print but this computer will not connect to any printer just installs them, but wont connect. It fails to print.

This computer is the same image as the other computers around it. The only thing done diffrent was that hard restart. From that computer i can get a reply when I ping the printers IP.

What are y'alls thoughts? Any recommendation.
