Windows 10: Why won't pdf's open in the desktop Adobe Pro app instead of 365 web version?

I have Adobe Pro Desktop, however, when I open pdf's within an email in 365, it opens them on the web platform instead of the desktop app. II do have adobe as my default pdf viewer. How do I resolve this please?

Toggle off "Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome".

Mozilla Firefox:

Right click a pdf file, choose 'Open With' - Choose Another App

Important - Check the box marked 'Always use this app to open pdf . . .'

If Acrobat Pro XI is not in the list, scroll to the bottom and click 'More Apps'

Again if Acrobat Pro XI is not in the list, at the bottom, click 'Look for another app on this PC', then navigate to find t Acrobat Pro XI, usually located in C:\Program Files (x86)\ Adobe

 

PDF files is opening on Microsft Edge instead adobe reader

To check Windows version, press Windows key + R, type
winver and press Enter.

At first, I suggest you to check if any Windows update is pending.
