Windows 10: Why wont Visual C++ redistrubutible open it's installer?

So, I was going to run a program, but it gave missing dll errors that had to do with Microsoft visual c++, so, I tried to install the latest version... however, it failed to even launch the installer. No errors, just plain not opening what so ever.Keep in mind, that this is windows 10. I would move to 11, but many of the programs I use are only compatible with 10 or below.So, what do I do?

panel before trying to install the new MS Visual 2017. Follow the steps below:

• Click Programs, then click Programs and Features.
  
• Locate Microsoft Visual 2017 C++, then click Uninstall.
  

After uninstalling the program, try to install Microsoft Visual 2017 C++ again.

I was going through my programs deleting some that I no longer use when I noticed that I have:

- Microsoft Visual C + + 2005 Redistrubutable 8.0.61001

- Microsoft Visual C + + 2005 Redistrubutable 8.0.56336

- Microsoft Visual C + + 2008 Redistrubutable - x86 9.0.30729

- Microsoft Visual C + + 2008 Redistrubutable - x86 9.0.30729.6161

- Microsoft Visual C + + 2010 Redistrubutable - x64 10.0.40219

- Microsoft Visual C + + 2010 Redistrubutable - x86 10.0.40219

Do I need all of theses?

I am running Windows 10 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor.

I would suggest you to check if Microsoft visual c++ 2005 x86 is installed in your computer.

To check follow the steps:

• Type Default programs & select programs & features.
• Check if Microsoft visual c++ 2005 x86
  is installed.

If yes suggest you to uninstall & reinstall Microsoft visual c++ 2005 x86
& check if the issue persists.

If the issue persists I would suggest you to contact the game manufacturer.
