Windows 10: Why won't Windows 11 delete my files? It just hangs saying 0 discovered!

WIndows 11 many times will not bulk delete files from my system. This usually happens on one of my SSDs whose health is fine so please don't tell me that my hardware is the problem. It doesn't need defragmenting either as these files were just recently added, worked on, updated, and now need to be erased....except Windows 11 refuses to do so. Please don't tell my it's hardware.....the only way to delete them is to RD into my other server, which is Windows 10 much better than the garbage that is W11 and then I can bulk delete over the network in in instant so it is not hardware at all. "Discovered 0 items" when trying to delete a file

I have windows 10. I just downloaded grails-3.3.8.zip into my downloads dir. Now I want to delete it to save space. When I hit delete, I get a dialog saying "preparing to recycle from downloads Discovered 0 items (0 bytes).

It just hangs for ever. I have no other windos or applications running. i even closed file explorer, still hanging.

I tried rebooting, then delteing. Same issue.

Before some "helpful" person tells me the "solution" is to spend 5 days reinstalling windows, this is not an option. Nor are estore poitns, as I dont have any. I just want the microsoft operating system, which has been in development for 30 years, to be
able to delete a simple file, or at least tell me WHY it cant delete a file.

 

0 byte folder cannot be deleted Problem

I have a 0 byte folder and I can't delete it. I'm using win 7 64 bit.

It says access denied when trying, please login as admin blah blah msgs....

I've searched the net for hours, Trying unlocker, fileassassin, and all other 'file deleter' programs out there. tried on safe mode, tried the cmd commands, even in cmd it says access denied, tried the closing explorer.exe and doing the command. I tried changing permissions and atrributes and it says you do not have permission to view or edit this objects permission settings. I logged in as the Administrator and still no hope.

the folder originally contained all my movies but since then i moved(using the move command) all of them someplace else(on another hdd) and I thought it was gone but the folder is still there, 0 bytes. It was shared when i deleted it and still appeared on the shared folders list but inaccessible coz it was already deleted so i 'unshared' the folder from the shared folders list. and so the problem began. the folder is still there and it is undeletable

One surefire way to do it without deleting my files is copying all other files to another HDD and reformat it and copy it back again but my hdd is currently contains 1 tb out of 1.36 and i dont have any hdds with that free space to use.

ALSO I CAN'T OPEN THE FOLDER it says

Location is not available

'directory' is not accessible.
Access is Denied.

i think its more of a windows glitch than a virus problem
