Windows 10: Why won’t windows photo trim compress my video files anymore?

Hey guys I’m praying someone can help me because I’ve been using the same method to upload videos for years and now it’s suddenly not working !So my regular process step by step is…1. I film my videos on my Sony A64002. I plug it into my pc via usb3. A file pops up in my pc which says “clips” I click on the video select open in photos 4. I then select trim and crop the first couple of seconds to then click “save as copy”5. Normally the trim version just starts automatically saving onto the camera and once it’s finished it also appears in the “clips” file on my pc.6. I use this method because

Photos app - trim a video - error

Hello,
I am trying to use the built-in Windows 10 Photos app to trim a video.
I have the video playing in the Photos app and click "Trim Video" at the top.
I move the sliders to select the start and end points.
I click "Save a copy" at top-right.
The app says "It looks as though you don't have permissions to save changes to this file. Try saving a copy instead."
Having just clicked "Save a copy", I am confused as to why this error message is appearing.
I've tried copying the .mp4 to my VIDEOS folder on C: drive with the same result.
Some research has suggested to run the Photos app as Administrator, but I can't figure out how to do that.
Any suggestions on how to trim a video would be appreciated!

Edit Video in Photos- Trim

You can trim the beginning and end of a video so your movie shows only the part of the video you want.
To help us determine the appropriate troubleshooting steps that can resolve your concern, we would like to ask the following questions:

• What is the build and version of Windows that you’re using? To check, type
  winver in the Search box, select the resulting command and send us a screenshot of the information window.
• What is the name of the application used when capturing videos?
• Is it happening to all the videos that you captured?
• What video player are you using to watch this video file?

Edit Video in Photos- Trim

I had a small issue with the Edit in Photos feature on a video file in Windows 10.

I regularly capture video files while gaming and noticed the trim feature under the "Edit In Photo" option while watching a video file(pen icon).

Upon using this feature I trim the video to my desired length and save a copy. But the new video file has a significantly whiter picture when i watch it. Is this something that is temporary or that i fix in anyway?

I'd appreciate any help on fixing this issue, Thank You.
