Nokia e61 Wlan does not appear in connectivity menu

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi share the same 2.4 GHz band so turn your Bluetooth off too

  3. Nokia Lumia Icon Won't Even See My Home WiFi Router

    Hi CptJBMaguire,

Thank you for posting on forum.

I understand that you are not able to connect your Nokia Lamia Icon to your home Wi-Fi router.

Did you try to restart your phone? Were you able to connect your phone psychically to any Wi-Fi?

What is more, regarding your router is it set up to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz?

If it is set up to 5 GHz, I would try to switch that to 2.4 GHz, then try again connect your phone.

Thanks for your contribution to the forums!

    Kind Regards,

    Wi-Fi 2.4 Ghz 20 or 40 Mhz?

That GHz refers to the wireless (radio) frequency

Why split into two different networks - unless you need to use two different network frequencies...

Most routers allow a private (password protected) network and an open guest network..

  5. Dual band better than one or another taken separately?

I would leave the network as dual-band - so either frequency will connect to the same network
