Windows 10: Wi-Fi button disappeared after a blue screen. We tried many things but couldn't get it to work.

My friend's laptop started the day with a BSOD. It produced a .dmp file. Later, his Wi-Fi button completely disappeared, and he couldn't access Wi-Fi whatsoever. We also tried to connect my phone to access ethernet, but it didn't work either. Wi-Fi disappearing at random times.

Hello. So I did the steps. And 2 minutes after doing the steps my Wi-Fi disappeared again. The thing is my home Wi-Fi only disappears from the list but other Wi-Fi network's don't.

Method 1: Run the Hardware and Device troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Click on the Start button, and type “Troubleshooting” on the search bar.
• Under Hardware and sound, click on “hardware and devices”.
• A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.

Method 2: The issue may occur if the drivers for Wi-fi are not installed or updated. I suggest you to install/update the latest version for Wi-fi drivers by following the steps below.

• Press ‘windows key + R’ and type ‘devmgmt.msc’ and press Enter.
• Expand ‘Network adapter’ and right click on Wi-fi driver and select update.

Tried to enable wi-fi, wi-fi icon disappears on control panel.

When I turned on my computer (Windows 10), the wi-fi wasn't working. Then I went to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections and pressed the wi-fi icon. A tab popped up telling me that it was enabled, and disappeared quickly, but the
icon still said 'disabled', and wi-fi still did not work. I tried this a few more times but the same result shows up. Then I activated WLAN Auto Config, and I went back onto the Network Connections panel, but the wi-fi icon had disappeared. Please help!
