  1. Wi-fi connected, no internet DNS issue!?

    Hi.

I'm facing this issue in my laptop where it connects to any wi-fi network but doesn't connect to internet. The same wi-fi network works perfectly fine on other devices.

Some of the fixes I've tried but didn't work for last hour and a half:

    cmd:

    /flushdns

    /releasedns

    /renewdns

    Drivers:

uninstalled the previous drivers, downloaded and installed official drivers

    Manual IP/DNS config:

Usually this thing works when I put random numbers as IP address and also as DNS. But not this time.

I've even tried putting the IP and DNS showing in my phone and in the control panel of my wi-fi router.

    Didn't work.

    Troubleshooting:

    Yes. It didn't work either.

It reset the adapter every time and I restarted every time to see it not work.

    Wireless settings:

A bit extreme but I even tried to match the frequency and band or whatever from the driver and router wireless setting. Didn't work.

    Thanks in anticipation.

    :)

I suggest you to run the in-built troubleshooter for Internet connections.

    • Open 'Settings' and click on 'Update and security'.
    • On the left pane, select 'Troubleshoot' and run the troubleshooter for 'Internet Connections'.

You may also try the troubleshooting steps listed in the articles listed below and check if it works:

Wi-fi connected, no internet DNS issue!?

    No wi-fi connection

I found the restore points and went back to last month, when the Wi-Fi was still working. I reconnected the router. The control panel says the connection is secure and connected when I tried to get online via wireless rather than DSL, but the icon on the bottom is still the DSL one. Do I have to disconnect the DSL cable in order to use the Wi-Fi or does it matter? The control panel lists both internet connections.
