Windows 10: Wi-Fi missing in HP Notebook installed with Windows 10

Hi,


Wi-Fi missing in my HP NotebookLaptop after a Windows 10 update. Version 10.0.14393 installed in my laptop.

I have tried installing latest wireless drivers and various other solutions with no such luck.

Could you please resolve this issue asap?

Wi-Fi errors (Windows 10)

I'm currently troubleshooting a HP laptop (HP G62-a10SQ to be more specific). The problem is that it doesn't want to connect to any Wi-Fi network. It leaves me with the generic error "Can't connect to this network." I've tried these steps so far

• Restarting the computer
  
• Flushing DNS
  
• Releasing and renewing the ipconfig
  
• Uninstalling the driver
  
• Reinstalling the driver
  
• Reseating the Wi-FI module
  
• Checking Windows Update for any drivers
  
• Updating the driver in Device Manager
  
• Temporarily removing my Wi-Fi encryption
  
• Trying to connect to a different Wi-Fi network outside of my network
  
• Probably more troubleshooting steps I can't remember atm (I will edit the post if I remember anything)
  

 

Wi-fi missing on HP Envy

HP Envy 17 Notebook PC

Internet provider Virgin Media

Router SuperHub 2

Ethernet is OK

All other items in household connect of Wi-Fi

In Open Network and Sharing Centre - Network Connections - Wifi enabled (5 green bars and driver name)

I tried updating Driver, tried rollback - no good,

tried system restore - no good

Downloaded drivers from HP and installed - No Good

IPv4 Connectivity - Not Connected

In settings - Network and Internet - Wi-Fi missing

Checked Flight Mode is OFF

In Device Manager went into drivers - Power Management and took tick off

Don't know what else to do?

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

• Are you able to connect to internet using LAN cable connection?
• Do you get any error message/error code when you try connecting the PC to Wi-Fi?

You may be facing the above issue due to incompatible network drivers on your PC or due to change in the network provider services.



Step 1: If you have not tried, I suggest you to check if you are able to connect to internet using LAN cable.



If you are able to connect to internet using LAN cable, I suggest you to check if the wireless adapters are shown in the
Device manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select Device manager option.
• Expand Network adapters option and check if the adapter to support Wi-Fi connection is located.
• If yes, right click on the adapter and select Update option.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.
• Close the window and check if the issue is resolved.

Step 2: If you do not locate the wireless network adapter under Device manager, I suggest you to download and install the latest and compatible wireless adapter drivers for Windows 10 operating system from the manufacturer’s
website and check if the issue is resolved.
