Wi-Fi settings keep reverting to "DNS settings for all Wi-Fi networks have been set"

For an office router, to test certain websites securely hosted there, I have to set my WiFi settings to use a custom DNS IP like 192.168.0.1, which all works fine until I come back into the office after having used the laptop at home, at which point the custom setting for that particular router connection are overridden by the "parent" or "general" or "all" WiFi setting... so I have to go into WiFi Hardware Properties and change DHCP to Automatic every day. It's getting very frustrating, and it makes no logical sense for Windows to be doing this. Now, in my general DHCP setting, which is

  2. Wi-Fi Connection Issue: DNS Settings Notification

    Hello Community,

I’ve been experiencing an issue with my Wi-Fi connection and was hoping someone could provide some assistance.

Recently, I received a pop-up notification stating, “The DNS settings for all Wi-Fi networks have been set. The settings below won’t be used.” I believe this might be the reason I’m unable to connect to my Wi-Fi network.

I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps including resetting the router, checking the network settings, and even resetting the DNS settings. After these steps, the DNS notification no longer appears, but I’m still unable to connect to my Wi-Fi.

I’ve confirmed that there’s no issue with my hardware as other devices are able to connect to the same network without any problems.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

  3. wi-fi settings

    Hi. My name is Miles.

This Wi-Fi router configuration (or Wi-Fi base station) can be set to obtain better performance, security, and reliability when using Wi-Fi networks.

    Follow the steps indicated below:

    • Make sure that the firmware of the Wi-Fi router is up to date.

    • Make sure Wi-Fi devices are compatible with the recommended settings.

    • If possible, back up the configuration of the Wi-Fi router.

    • Skip or delete the Wi-Fi settings of your network on all devices that connect to the Wi-Fi router. This will prevent the devices from trying to connect to the network with the previous configuration. You must reconnect the devices to the network when you
finish setting up the new configuration.

    • Configure all Wi-Fi routers that are on the same network in the same way. If you do not, the devices may have problems connecting to the network or the network may be unreliable.

    • If you use a dual-band Wi-Fi router, set the same configuration for the two bands.

    No Wi-Fi Settings

I recently purchase a computer with Window 10. It was a refurbished unit. However, there is not listing for Wi-Fi in Windows period. It is not listed in network settings.

How do I connect to Wi-Fi with this system?
