Windows 10: Wi-Fi shows a very low speed Windows 10 Laptop

For past several months, my Dell laptop running on updated Windows 10 shows a wifi internet speed of only around 4 mbps whereas the actual speed is around 25 mbps and tested on other devices. I am unable to resolve the issue in spite of all suggested and other logical steps.

Laptop won't show list of available networks

We suggest checking the list of available Wi-Fi networks on your laptop.

Please follow these steps:

• Click the Windows logo.
• Go to Settings (gear icon).
• Select Network and Internet.
• Then Wi-Fi.
• Make sure the Wi-Fi radio button is On.
• Select Show available networks, then you'll be able to see the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

WI FI SPEED SLOW DOWN AFTER UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10

When I have Windows 8.1 OS, I am getting full 8 MBPS speed on WI-FI as well as on LAN.

I tried with my friend Laptop having OS Windows 7, on that laptop I am getting full WI-FI speed i.e. 8 MBPS.

I also tried with Cell Phone, WI-FI speed is getting 8 MBPS.

As per your suggestion I checked WI-FI speed by disabling Anti Virus. but problem remains same.

When I search on google for this problem it is observed that lot of users facing such type of problem, many of them revert back to Original OS.

So I need solution.

 

Microsoft Lumia 950 XL Dual Sim low speed Wi-Fi issue

Mobile phone : Microsoft Lumia Dual Sim 950 XL

Windows 10 Mobile

OS Build : 10.0.15036.414

I have a Lumia 950 XL and I had problems with low speed Wi-Fi.

I checked other mobile phones like Samsung and the Wi-Fi preformence was much better so I searched the issue and I read some posts and I noticed that some others have the same issue and there were some solution like turning of and on Airplane Mode.

I decide to find a solution but when I have both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the speed test shows :

Ping : 62 ms Download : 8.74 Mbps Upload : 0.41 Mbps *

but when Bluetooth is off and just Wi-Fi is on the speed test shows the following nummbers which are zero and it's very odd :

Ping : 234 ms Download : 0.00 Mbps Upload : 0.00 Mbps *

*I'm using speedtest.net app and I tried different servers and the results were about the same.

Are there any problems with my phone and what am I supposed to do ?

Are there any other solutions to solve low speed Wi-Fi problem because it's a little bit annoying and odd ?
