Windows 10: Wi fi strength is too weak than other laptop in same distance and same wifi connection

I have Sony SVE15127CNB laptop running with windows 10. My laptop has less wifi strength than other laptop in same network and same distance. While my laptop shows 2 bars near about 2 meter distance but other laptop like dell,hp which I have in my family shows full strength and if the distance become more than 3 meter the wifi signal gone but at the same time other laptop have shown full or 4 bars . For that reason they can access internet almost everywhere in my home but I cant. I have to sit near the router. I made the the adapter updation , adapter install and reinstall from sony website

Wifi strength is weak

I am using dell Inspiron 5558 laptop,

Case 1 : when i connected my Android phone and laptop to wifi, I found the laptop is just have 2 bar signal and there was no internet working but at same time my phone was showing 3 bars and getting speed of 4Mbps & when i checked the link connection the
laptop has 11MBps and phone has 28MBps.

Case 2 : i kept laptop far distance from case 1,

Then laptop got internet access and found a good speed but when i tried to connect to wifi in phone the phone even didn't fetch wifi signal.

So here is my question,

my laptop is not connecting to the wifi which have good signal strength, (my drivers are upto date)

To isolate the concern regarding the Wi-Fi strength icon, I would also suggest that we may need to update the network drivers of your computer. You may follow the steps provided earlier on this post. If these steps don't work, try reinstalling the driver.
Here's how:

• Open Device Manager, right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the device, and select Uninstall.
  
• Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

Let us know how it goes.

 

Wifi range weak..

The strength of network connection on the Windows Phone depends on the strength of Wi-fi the device connects to.

I would suggest you to restart your router/Wi-Fi, or contact Network Admin and enquire.



Did you tested it on other Wi-Fi ? same happens when connected to public network ?
