Windows 10: Widget panel differs between computers

Hi there.I've got Windows 11 installed on two computer devices. On both, the compliation version is 22631.4112. One of them is a laptop with a 14", 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution screen, the other one is a desktop with a 27", 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution screen.Even considering that big difference, the widget panels between both of them differs as the title of the thread says, but my issue is not regarding to the obvious situation that fewer elements will fit, it's regarding to... well, see it by yourselves.On laptop, there is two "modes" of display the two buttons on the left:Also, even wit

unfortunately, it is not currently possible to adjust the width of the widgets panel.

you can make the suggestion to the development team using the Feedback Hub (winkey+F).

hopefully it is something they can add in a future release.

 

Customizing the Windows 11 Widget Panel

Hello, all. I was wondering if there is a way to customize the widget panel per my personal tastes. The weather app is useful. However, here are some of the headlines currently in my "news" feed:

• How Long to Boil Hot Dogs
  
• The Next Six Years Determines Earth's Entire Future
  
• Saturn's Rings Will Disappear and Won't Be Seen from Earth
  

Apart from a few real-world news articles, the rest is absolute trash - the kind of stuff supermarket tabloids would be embarrassed to publish and Microsoft should be ashamed of for foisting it upon the users. The infestation of such clickbait mars what could be a somewhat useful taskbar app.

The "official" settings options are totally useless. I can add a source from the limited options but there's just no end to the garbage news sites hosted by MS. That said, are there any third-party solutions to make the widget panel do what I want it to do? Or am I stuck having to clog up my desktop with a bunch of widgets?

 

Widgets Panel Faulty

For some weird reason my widgets panel on both my desktop and laptop no longer function as of today. Panel appears but I am unable to select anything.
