    Widgets disappeared and date plus other icons are not centered.


    Hello everyone. I ran into some issues with my laptop which caused my widgets to disappear and the date and time, plus all the other icons, to become off center. I tried restarting and I am currently running sfc/scannow to resolve the issue. I have ran this command when the issue first happened to try and fix it but no luck. Also sometimes I get the error, backgroundtaskhost.exe is not responding. This is what originally made me restart. Any solutions to these issues? If so that would be great.

    Desktop Icons disappeared

    Hi Kinsley,

    • Are you referring to the desktop icons?
    • When did the icons disappear? Did you make any changes to the system Settings?

    It's possible that your device is in Tablet mode. I suggest you to turn it off and check if the icons appear. To do so, select the
    Action center icon on the taskbar (the little message box next to the date and time), and then select
    Tablet mode to turn it on or off.

    Disappearing Icons.

    By accident I clicked on something and all my icons on desktop disappeared. I did see a list of programs with a check mark in front of them. When I clicked the checkmarks disappeared plus the icons on the desktop. Is there any way to retrieve them? I
    just cann't figure out WHERE I CLICKED ON.
