Windows 10: Widgets panel not working correctly

I am using windows 11, build 26100.2454. for the last few days the widgets flyout is broken. It opens when I hover the taskbar icon but won't close when I move the mouse away. Sometimes it closes when i click the desktop, other times I have to click on the icon again. The transparency is also not working. In Dark theme it opens without transparency, but it I click on the taskbar icon while it's open the transparency will appear though at a much lower transparency level than before. This doesn't work with the Light theme active; the transparency is just gone. I've toggled this feature on and

unfortunately, it is not currently possible to adjust the width of the widgets panel.

you can make the suggestion to the development team using the Feedback Hub (winkey+F).

hopefully it is something they can add in a future release.

 

Customizing the Windows 11 Widget Panel

Hello, all. I was wondering if there is a way to customize the widget panel per my personal tastes. The weather app is useful. However, here are some of the headlines currently in my "news" feed:

• How Long to Boil Hot Dogs
  
• The Next Six Years Determines Earth's Entire Future
  
• Saturn's Rings Will Disappear and Won't Be Seen from Earth
  

Apart from a few real-world news articles, the rest is absolute trash - the kind of stuff supermarket tabloids would be embarrassed to publish and Microsoft should be ashamed of for foisting it upon the users. The infestation of such clickbait mars what could be a somewhat useful taskbar app.

The "official" settings options are totally useless. I can add a source from the limited options but there's just no end to the garbage news sites hosted by MS. That said, are there any third-party solutions to make the widget panel do what I want it to do? Or am I stuck having to clog up my desktop with a bunch of widgets?

 

Touchpad not working correctly!

To better assist you with your concern, we would like to know more information:

• Have you tried to restart your computer?

If yes, and the issue still persists, we suggest that you use a mouse to troubleshoot the touchpad then follow these steps:

• Click the Start Menu.
• Type Control Panel.
• Choose Hardware and Sound to the options listed.
• Choose Devices and Printers.
• Choose the driver for your touchpad.
• Right click then select Troubleshoot.
