Windows 10: Widnows 11 not 'seeing' my HP Scanjet 5590 Scanner

I've got an old scanner - that works fine with my Windows 10 machine - but, I have recently upgraded to a new machine using Windows 11 Pro. For whatever reason Windows 11 is not detecting that the scanner is plugged in. The scanner uses a USB port. I'm looking in Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners. I can see my Brother printer in this window - but, I do not see the HP scanner. I've tried unplugging and plugging the USB cable a few times. I've tried power cycling the scanner. Rebooting Windows 11. Nothing I do seems to work. This is why people use A

Dear Mr. Anup,

I need to install my scanner HP Scanjet 5590 to my laptop Thinkpad e550 64 bit windows 10.

Scanner never recognise or not showing any connection to computer - its connected through USB (I checked USB cable also).

Hope you understand the situation.

I have hp 5590 scanning software installed on one win 10 64 bit desktop and it works fine. I have the software installed on a second desktop with same OS. Microsoft scan recognizes the scanner but neither the hp software nor HP print and scan doctor can find the scanner.
