Windows 10: Widows 10: Problem Ejecting (Seagate HDD 500GB) others Drives are Ejected...

My other External Drives: (Samsung 1TB) Ejects fine and my (SanDisk 128GB Flash Drive) Ejects fine.

Problem:



My [External Seagate HD : D] has [Microsoft Store [x box] pc games/demos] installed, I have read other similar issues but no real fix , I just turn OFF my computer to disconnect the HDD, better than (click here and there... to disconnect/Eject Drive?

1-when I go to Disk Management [SeagateHD:D] does not show [Eject] when clicked?

2-Going into Device Manger is a bit tricky for me...I would rather switch computer OFF and Disconnect Drive this way.

Can't Eject External HDD After Upgrade

my windows 10 Home version is 1803, Build 17134.285 after upgrade. however, now i can't eject safely external HDD. i thought it was one of my HDD but then i tried all my HDDs, and they won't eject safely with a message "drive is currently in use ..... ".

no problem with my usb sticks.

I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with accessing Safely Remove and Eject Media USB icon on the taskbar.



To assist you better, please provide us the below information:

• When you say that "not I can not get it to show up in bottom right lower", are you referring that you are not able to see the Eject USB icon under the show hidden icons?
  

I suggest you to follow the steps below to understand the system

1. Click on Search bar.

2. Then type "Select which icons appear on the taskbar" without the quotes in the search bar and click on it.

3. Turn on Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media icon.

Missing Eject in "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" List

I use to be able to eject my USB drive via "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" with list as below:

- Open Devices and Printers
- Eject Data Traveler 111
- USB Drive (D
- Eject My Passport Ultra
- My Passport (E

However recently the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" list seems corrupted and shows:

- Open Devices and Printers
- USB Drive (D

- My Passport (E

with { - USB Drive (D } and { - My Passport (E } are grayed out.

Currently the only way for me is go to file explorer and right click the removable drive and click Eject.

Please help!
