Windows 10: Widows Just screwed the masses

All I can say is THANKS MICROSOFT for screwing me and many others over. In order to get your freaking Windows 11 update I have to now go buy whole new laptop. You just pulled the same stunt as many other tech companies have; PURPOSEFUL OBSOLETION OF PRODUCTS BY PROGRAMMING!!!!! Heck, I can't even upgrade my processor without shelling out money to some tech wizard to do a complete mobo build that would include a processor fast enough to be compatible. Speaking of which, according to the data in the "ABOUT" section of my computer, it shows that the processor IS fast enough for your 11 update but

Another question, is this on a home network or a work network? The steps @eidairaman1 listed are always a good first step. If this is on a work network you manage, I'd be much more concerned than the home one. It is possible someone is screwing with you, but malware could also be the culprit.

Method 1.

I suggest you to run hardware troubleshooter to diagnose the exact issue. It will automatically detect the problem and fix it.

  Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the search bar on the Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Small icon on the left navigation pane.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting and click on
  Hardware and Device.
  
• 
  Click on Advanced on the Hardware troubleshooter dialog box and click on Run as administrator (Enter the credentials if required).
  
• 
  Click on Next and follow onscreen instruction complete the Hardware troubleshooter.
  

Method 2.

If the issue still persist, I suggest you to uninstall/re-install the mass storage device and check if this helps.

  Press Windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.
  
• 
  Go into Device Manager and expand Universal Serial Bus controller.
  
• 
  Right click on the device under the Universal Serial Bus Controllers node related to mass storage device and
  uninstall it. .
  
• 
  Restart the computer, and then reinstall the USB controllers.

Hi all,

I recently encountered a situation where I need to access the mass storage mode on my Lumia 1020.

I ran into this article and tried the steps there but it doesn't work. The phone restarts as usual. Can someone help?
