  1. Wifi 5ghz signal

Hi, I have a laptop with a Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Wireless Network Adapter recently, Couple months ago my laptop was fine running 3 bars averaging 45-50mbps all of a sudden my WIFI disconnected. It came back on with no problems however I now run at 1 bar 5-10mbps while my other devices were running at solid 50 mbps. I tried everything I can to fix this such as updating the driver, disable and enabling the network driver, full resetting my laptop and still no fix. Is there a fix for this issue?, Thanks

    :)

    5GHz Wifi

Hello. I want to connect to 5GHz wifi, but its not showing up in the connection list. I've done a bit of research and my laptop should be able to connect to the 5GHz band.

Can't connect to 5Ghz WiFi on Windows

Hi Phelenor, my name is Felipe Lucas, windows expert and user like you.

I'll be happy to help you.

5GHz WiFi not showing up in your Windows 10 computer is a very common issue. There are literally thousands of queries out there asking why is 5G Wifi not showing up, how to enable 5G WiFi, why they can’t connect to 5G WiFi, and more. These issues usually come
up when users change their WiFi Router, update their OS, change hardware components of PC related to WiFi, update device driver, etc. The most common of them all is when users get a new router. When the router is set up, instead of their PC’s WiFi Adapter
detecting both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bandwidth signals, it only detects 2.4GHz bandwidth signal.

Please, try to follow the steps listed on the link below:

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

    Wifi 5ghz signal

    Laptop dropping 2.4GHz wifi signal

Does your router have dual band wifi? If so you could split the wifi signal between 2.4ghz and 5ghz with a specific key for 5ghz and log in to the second one. 5GHz usually has less interferance.
