Windows 10: Wifi Adapter Drivers won't load after Windows Update

After a recent windows update, my wifi adapter Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 no longer works. The device manager tells me


"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. Code 31

The device is pending further configuration."


I have tried the following:


1 restarting

2 updating driver from within device manager doesn't work, just spins

3 updating driver from Intel driver updates, but error remains

4 uninstalling the device and restarting problem persists

5 rolling back driver grayed out

6 restoring windows to a previous update won't complete


Other solutions suggested online involve editing the registry, but the files they tell me to delete do not exist. I basically tried everything suggested by this article https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-fix-code-31-errors-2623184.

Windows Lumia 930 won,t connect to the wifi.

l have windows nokia Lumia 930 and it won,t connect to wifi at home or at work

 

Wifi list won´t show

my new aspire 5 all of a sudden stopped letting me open the wifi list, while i had the same provider it was allright but right now i have changed my provider and since i can´t see the available networks it doesn´t let me choose it.
I´ve already tried to update drivers, restart internet settings, save the new wifi mannualy to see if the computer could connect. but nothing provided results.
From what i can guess it looks like the problem is not in the connection, because i can connect in to my old wifi and also a ethernet cable but somethig is preventing the wifi list to appear.

I suggest you to uninstall the network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select
  Uninstall.
• Restart the computer for automatic installation of network adapters and check if the changes are effective.

Update network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Update option.
• Restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.
