  1. Wifi Adapter is not updating/being recognized

System details pertinent to the problem: WIndows 10 home OS, Ryzen 3600X CPU, Asus prime X470 motherboard, TP link TX50E wifi 6 and bluetooth adapter.

So, I have all the correct indications of the network adapter drivers not being installed i.e. The drivers for this device are not installed. Code 28, There are no compatible drivers for this device. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver..

Other indications: When I go to control panel>all control panel items>network connections, I only see the LAN connection from my motherboard and the bluetooth connection which is not connected. The Wifi adapter is not displayed at all. When I go to network settings and go to the network troubleshooter I recieve the following results:

Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings. Then it says detected...

The network diagnostics log shows the following file name: 3BCAA14-686-E-41D5-BB95-F3DB1B657721.Diagnose.0.etl This file name doesn't do anything meaningful.

    Corrective action taken:

1 I've checked the location of the drivers in the system storage, verified they are up to date, ran the intel driver manager repair tool Intel PROSet/Wireless Software v21.10.1.

2 I've uninstalled the device from device manager and Action>Scan for hardware change with the same above results.

3 I've physically uninstalled and reinstalled the adapter itself.

4 I've reset the network proxy back to ip6.

    5 I replaced the adapter.

Currently the internet is being supplied to my system via Ethernet cable to an Asus RT-AC86U wifi 6 router.

I'm unsure if the motherboard is not correctly recognizing the wifi adapter or if windows 10 is not recognizing that there is a device installed into the system.

I've been dealing with the issue for a month now. Highly annoying...

    Please help.

    :)

    Update made wifi adapter disapear

If the wifi adapter appears in Device manager without any warning triangle but there is no wifi section in Settings, Networks then reinstall the wifi adapter.

If the wifi adapter appears in Device manager without any warning triangle and there is a wifi section in Settings, Networks then use Settings, Update, Troubleshoot. I'd suggest this sequence:-
    Hardware & devices
    Network adapter
    Internet connections

    Best of luck,
    Denis

Wifi Adapter is not updating/being recognized

Wifi adapter disappears - goes 'hidden'

Running Windows 10 on an Acer laptop. Over the past month, the wifi connection dropped without explanation/warning.

First time, the adapter was visible in Device Manager (with a yellow triangle next to it). An interent search found the suggestion to uninstall it and restart. That worked.

Today, the connection dropped again. In Device Manager at first I could not see the wifi adapter listed. I clicked to see hidden devices and found the adapter and the Bluetooth (which I had not noticed was missing).

I again uninstalled, restarted, and both the wifi and bluetooth have returned.

Anyone any ideas as to what is happening, why it's happening, and what I need to do, please?

I have attached a screenshot of the DM windows as it is now, showing the wifi adapter name, etc.

    Thanks very much
