  2. Realtek RTL8811AU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB 2.0 Network Adapter

The adapter installs and shows working in device manager, but is disabled in wifi adapter options and will not enable. A run of windows troubleshooter gives driver issue as the problem. Device manager tries, finds, but unable to install a driver due to
time out issue. I have the disc and installed from that. Also, this adapter is listed as wifi 2 in device manager but wifi 3 in adapter options?

one or more network protocols are missing on this computer windows 10

    Hi guys

Since moving in to the new apartment my wifi keeps dropping off.

Once I troubleshoot the problem it would sometime fix or might not, so I have to keep trouble shooting it. If would give me an error of "one or more network protocols are missing on this computer" or some time very rarely
it would give me an error "default gateway is not available" OR "Problem with Wireless adapter or Access Point"

Once it gets fixed through trouble shooting the wifi would again drop off randomly.

I've even tried changing my wifi channel through the router but its just not working.

PLEASE PLEASE help me out here so the problem can be resolved for once & all, and I don't have to keep troubleshooting again n again n again!!!!

    Cheers.

  4. WiFi adapter keeps giving problems!!!!

    Hi.

    When did this start?

What changes did you make just before this?

What software was installed just before this issue started?

Did Windows update your wi-fi adapter driver right around this time?

Does Reliability Monitor show any issues which correspond?

(Enter re into Cortana's search box and wait for View reliability history to appear then select it.)

This may be a hardware problem rather than a software one.

I had a similar 'always disappearing' Wi-Fi on a laptop. Removing then re-seating the Wi-Fi card was the cure.

Alternatively, it may be a setting problem. Look at the properties of the WiFi adapter in Device Manager. If it has a Power Management tab, try unticking 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'.

The specs say it is a usb 2.0 device, do you have it in a usb 3.0 port? Try in another port, a usb 2.0 one if available.

I did not quite understand this, could you make it more clear.....

If you ment to disable the option to allow windows to automatically disable the hardware, I have already done it ......

I would uninstall the driver and delete the wifi adapter in Device Manager. Then restart the PC and reinstall the driver. You can also try Network Reset in the Settings menu which does something similar.
