Windows 10: Wifi automatically connect check boxes wont uncheck - I cant turn off automatic wifi connection

In the wifi tab where you choose which network to connect to, every available network my computer can see has the "automatically connect" box ticked. When I attempt to uncheck the boxes because I only want to connect to my home wifi they don't stay unchecked. They remain ticked. I cannot turn off automatic connections in the settings because I can't actually connect to the wifi networks for my computer to include them in the list of known networks. I've looked for answers in forums everywhere and no one has managed to get a real answer or fix. What can I do? I don't want to automatically c

Wifi turns off automatically when a device is connected to my hotspot


Whenever a device is connected to my hotspot the wifi is turning off automatically thereby stopping the hotspot.

To turn the Windows 10 hotspot on, in first step I have turned on the Wireless Network Connection as shown in the below image.





After that I did following steps in Command Prompt(Admin) for hotspot
1. netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=MyWiFi key=mypassword
2. netsh wlan start hostednetwork

In netsh wlan show hostednetwork command, it shows the hotspot had started successfully as shown in the below image.





But whenever a device is connected to this hotspot the wifi is turning off automatically thereby stopping the hotspot.





I have unchecked the Power management option i.e, Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
All driver are updated to the latest versions.

Please help

 

Can't disable WiFi "Connect Automatically" feature

There are reasons, which I won't describe here, why I don't want my laptop to automatically connect to my secure home network when my laptop is turned on.

• The WiFi auto connects when I turn on my laptop even though "Connect Automatically" is unchecked.

• WiFi Sense is turned off.

• Control Panel > Network Connections > Wi-Fi > Wireless Properties > All Boxes are not checked

When a start my computer, the WiFi still automatically connects to a secured network that I've connected to in the past.

I know that I can "Forget Network" and it won't automatically connect as the password has to be entered again. Why offer the feature to not connect automatically and it not work?

This is most frustrating...

 

Windows 10 WiFi Automatic Check-boxes Don't Remain Unchecked

Using Windows 10 on Dell 3521 Laptop.

My WiFi Connection keeps trying to change to another Network, and, I although I uncheck all the Automatic Connection Check-boxes, they become checked again after closing the network dialog box that comes up when I click on the WiFi icon on the task bar. When
I reopen the dialog, all detected WiFi networks nearby have Automatic Connection checked.
