Windows 10: WiFi Card has capped speeds?

Discus and support WiFi Card has capped speeds? in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; So I have a Qualcomm Atheros 9462 and I don't know why but if I were to open task manager, whenever I'm downloading anything, it just seems to cap out...     WiFi Card has capped speeds?


    So I have a Qualcomm Atheros 9462 and I don't know why but if I were to open task manager, whenever I'm downloading anything, it just seems to cap out at 7 to 8 Mbps even though running a speedtest shows im getting around 20 to 30 Mbps conenction speeds. Is this normal or is there a way to allow the card to get higher speeds similar to when I'm running a speedtest?

    Upload speed capped on windows 10

    I'm using ADSL like you suggested, I'm also using the talktalk wifi-hub, however I have also tried with the talktalk super-router and am receiving the same issue. Upload speed is being capped at 7.9mbps.

    hi i am asking for help because it looks like my computer is capping my WiFi speeds, i used to get 60-100mbs download speed but the last two months i have only gotten 0-12mbs and i have checked everything even switched WiFi adapters and my PC is the
    only device this happens to in my household,

    And i am in need of some help here, even just getting to this page has taken 15-20 minutes

    Greg,

    Thanks for the reply and suggestions. I reset the router according to the instructions in the website, and nothing changed. Just for kicks, I disabled the wifi and connected the laptop to the router via a LAN line, and no change! What puzzles me is that
    at this point, every other device in the house is running at their normal speed of 25-50+ Mbs, as my laptop was a few days ago. So only my laptop suffered performance degradation, and only in the house, not outside.

    Any other suggestions?
