Steps I followed to get my college WiFi It Works

• Go to SETTINGS -> WiFi
• Connect to your required wifi (assume wifi name is COLLEGE) and enter the password if any (not the proxy password but the wifi password)
• Once you are connected to the wifi -> Click on the wifi name (COLLEGE)
• Then EDITING NETWORK window will come
• In this : slide Proxy option from Off to On.
• Type your college Proxy Address under Server/URL and college Port Number under Port
• If you have have proxy username and password then : slide Sign into proxy option from Off to On
• In this: Type Proxy Username under Username and Type proxy password under Password
• Optional :If you have have any IP address, Subnet Mask ,Gateway ,DNS changes make that also.
• Voila WiFi !

 

Bypass proxy for internal addresses??

Is there anyway to configure WP7 to Bypass proxy server for local addresses?


When I have my proxy disabled email and other internal services work great but I can't browse the web through our proxy.


When I enable the proxy email and all other internal services stop working but I can now browse the internet through the proxy.

I need to be able to set it so that it can Bypass proxy server for local addresses so that both internal and external can be accessed when connected to our corporate WIFI.

Is this possible?

How can I set a proxy address & port for WiFi connection

for connecting to my university wifi I need to set a proxy address :mums\proxy.... & a port :8080 & username & password . I am unable to find any item for these information in setting-connections-wifi-connection name-edit ...

please help me how can I set this information ?

my phone is omnia (wm6.1)
