Windows 10: WiFi connection disconnecting after my laptop is going to sleep and missing power plans

Hi


Every time my laptop is "going to sleep", my internet connection WiFi is disconnecting.


I have tried the following fixings:

And many many other tutorials, but nothing works out for me.


I don't see the option of "Power management" on the Device manger--Network adapter properties.

I can't see the "CsEnabled" key on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power.

I can't see any power plan except Balanced, *Is that normal??? so I can't disable the option to disconnect wi-fi in order to save power when on Sleep mode.


I will be very grateful for help with it.

Windows 10 laptop doesn't go to sleep when wifi is on

Run these steps below:

Method 1: Follow the steps:

Method 2: I suggest you to run in-built Power troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

Method 3: If the above method doesn’t help, I would suggest you to reset and restore all of the default Power Plans back with their default settings. Follow the steps.

Method 4: Lastly I suggest you check your chipset and video drivers, try checking for the updates from the manufacturer's website and update all the necessary drivers, i.e the chipset and video drivers

Power plan?

Upon checking, it seems that there's nothing wrong with your system. It is usual that you have to double-click your mouse before your monitor wakes up.

For the meantime, we suggest changing the power plan by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + S.
• Type in Power Settings.
• On the pop-up window, choose Additional power settings.
• Select High performance.

After changing the power plan, we suggest that you monitor the changes made and check if that will work for you.

Sleep

Hi,

This may happen due to its power plan. A power plan is a collection of hardware and system settings that manages how computers use and conserve power. For this, we suggest that you reset and restore power plans to its default. kindly follow these steps:

• Open the Command Prompt (Admin).
• Copy and paste the command below into the command prompt, and press
  Enter:
  • powercfg -restoredefaultschemes
• Close the Command Prompt window, and then restart your PC to apply the changes.

After that, go to Power & sleep settings
by typing it into the Windows Search. Check the When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after
settings is set to Never.
