Windows 10: Wifi connection options werent showing up or even show any wifi netwerk on Windows 10 after...

I have downloaded Windows 10 using Boot Camp Assistant. It works just great. BUT I ran into a problem with the wifi networks or connections. There was no options for wifi network when im on Windows. They only show airplane mode or "change settings" not exact word for word but similar I have tried so many suggestions. I am stumped because I dont wanna use Ethernet connection as this windows kept trying to force me to do that. for references, I use Starlink for internet and when i switch the screens from windows to mac, I am able to use the wifi connection on mac screen just fine and perfectly

Wifi Networks not showing

On my Laptop if I wanted to change the wifi connection I would always see a list of the available networks when I selected the Wifi icon on the task bar.
Since the last major update to Windows 10 I find that when I select the wifi icon I only see the current connection





To see other networks within range I have to open the 'Network settings' and choose 'Show available networks' - then they show up.





Does anyone have any explanation for this - or possibly a 'fix' to show them all from the taskbar again.

 

Windows 7 virtual wifi authentication mode

Hello.

Just a quick question to whoever is using windows 7 virtual wifi capability - when you type in "netsh wlan show hostednetwork", cmd window displays a list of settings for your hosted virtual wifi.

I was wondering, is there a way to change authentication method from WPA2-Personal to simple WEP ?
