Windows 10: WiFi connection turns off after some time

I turn on my laptop an use it normaly (browsing, playing games...) with a normal stable wifi connection, but after some time (80% of the time) the wifi connection drops and when I try to reconnect to my wifi network it says "Can't connect to this network " on every listed wifi connection I click on. To make it work again, I have to turn my laptop off and back on or just put it to sleep and wake it up again. I tried to update and to troubleshoot but I just says that I should check my router for problems. Can anyone help?

Windows 10 wifi not turning on Acer Aspire laptop

In order to get the list of available wireless networks, you have to:

1. Switch on Connect to suggested open hotspots (see the screenshot in question);
   
2. Click on Wifi icon in the right corner. Now you have your networks back.
   

After that the parameter from Step 1 can be turned off, networks will be listed normally after restarting Wifi.

P.S. I feel rather stupid at the moment. I thought that open hotspots are passwordless hotspots and so are presumably not very safe. So of course I've turned that off during installation.
Really hard to see any logic in this case.

 

WiFi connection problems HTC TyTn

This is common in all windows mobile devices(both professional and standard). When the device goes into standby mode, the operating system tells the WiFi radio to switch itself off. That is why you loose the connection. When you again turn it on,
the OS tells the wifi radio to turn itself on again. This time, it may or may not reconnect by itself. If it does not, there is no need to turn the phone off and on. Just follow these steps:

• go to start> settings
• go to connections tab
• go to wifi
• select your wifi network. tap and hold on it and select "connect".

Turn WiFi search off, when you don’t need it, by taping on WiFi quick action button or by managing your
WiFi notification by following these steps:

• Slide your finger downwards on the screen.
• Press All settings.
• Press Network & wireless.
• Press WiFi. and then select Wi-Fi Sense.
• Turn on/off "Connect to suggested open hotspots".
• Uncheck "Show a notification banner when action is needed from me".
