For a while now I've had this intermittent issue where my wifi connection will drop, while my network settings will say that my connection is fine.

When this happens, usually programs like discord, chrome, or steam will say that they aren't connected to the internet, while any online game that is running will still say that it still has a connection to a server. On some occasions all of my programs will disconnect at once, while my network settings still say that I'm connected.

When I run the troubleshooter, I get varying results each time. The problems that the troubleshooter finds are either, "This computer is set to manually connect to 'wifi name'," "problem with wireless adapter or access point," "a network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken," or a mix of the 3. Less frequently, the troubleshooter also mentions that my dns is not properly configured.

    My computer's specs are:

MSI Z390 Pro Carbon AC motherboard,

    Intel i7-8700k CPU,

Intel Wireless-AC 9560 wifi adapter built into motherboard

    EVGA RTX 2060 GPU,

    MSI 1050ti GPU,

    32 gigabytes of G.Skill RGB DDR4 Ram,

    1tb SSD,

    2 1tb Hard Drives

    So far I have tried:

    /flush dns,

    /Ipconfig release & /ipconfig renew,

    resetting my router,

    reinstalling my wifi adapter drivers,

    Updating windows

I had this problem on my previous computer, but I'm not quite sure if this issue carried over from it, because I did a fresh install on this computer, and only brought over some personal files.

    :)

Internet connection randomly dropping through WiFi connection

    Dear all,
I generally have good WiFI connection, but in two rooms so I am running a TP-Link system for Wifi through my powernet, which provides me with WiFI in our working space. No problems here.
I have been noticing that on my laptop, when I sit in the living space, my internet connection is dropping WITHOUT losing connection to the WiFi network. This makes me reset my adapter but mostly without succes. Sometimes it spontaneously regains internet connectivity. This happens at random (to me). My cell phone doesn't have the same problem, nor does my GF's computer.
I notice that when i go back to the workspace (where wifi is distributed through my TP-link), more often then not I instantly regain connection. Which makes me think this is a problem of IP adress that is different when switching from Wifi through router and Wifi through TP-link?

Here is the runout for my ipconfig /all and
Output for 'netsh wlan show all'

    Regards,
    Robin

    WiFi is Randomly Dropping

    Hello

My router is the Horizon box provided by my ISP (UPC) and has been working fine for the last two years. My HP laptop has been working fine for the two years I've owned it. However, about two weeks ago the laptop has started randomly disconnecting from the WiFi. The drops used to be few and far between, but now happen about once every thirty seconds and last for about a minute before the connection starts working again. During this time Windows 10 says that I am still connected, even though the internet isn't working.

I ran Windows Network Diagnostics and received the error message 'The remote device or resource won't accept the connection'. Upon clicking more details, it informed me that 'The device or resource (wpad.net) is not set up to accept connections on port "The World Wide Web service (HTTP)"'.

I'm running a fully up-to-date 64bit Windows 10 Creators Update. My WiFi card is a Realtek RTL8723BE and has the latest driver. I've disabled "Automatically detect settings" in the proxy section in the settings as many sites suggested, but it hasn't fixed the issue.

My HP laptop is the only device I own that has this issue. I'm typing this on my phone, which works fine.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Windows 10 dropping wifi connection

My laptop keeps dropping the wifi connection. It then says it can't find any wifi networks. Eventually it connects again for 5-10 minutes before it drops again. None of my other devices have any problems with the wifi network. I have followed all the steps
here repeatedly and nothing has made any difference:

Any ideas what to try next? It's driving me mad! Thanks.
