Windows 10: WiFi connectivity - Username and Password is greyed out.

I am unable to connect to my company wireless , where "Enter your user name and password" is GREYED out. Usually my Wifi connects thru a Certificate, but new laptops X1 Yoga we received recently asking for username and password. This is not same case for other laptops like Lenovo T480, T490, X1 Carbon, etc. Only new laptops X1 Yoga seems to having problem. I am able to connect to other WiFi and just not to my company wifi. Please provide solution steps if possible?

Wifi username and password issue


Hi Thanks again for all your input ! Yes I tried and it was asking for username and password info on any of the available wireless connections. Our wireless network is virgin media. The command prompt netsh wlan show all displayed all the details I already had to hand. Yesterday I tried the WPS button on router whilst trying to connect and it actually connected. I thought that was it sorted and job done. Daughter was delighted until today when she tried to connect and it was back to square one asking for username and password. Its working again now via WPS button. I'll follow the steps on the links provided before I go to work tomorrow. I'd try it now but she is guarding her laptop for dear life online with her friends and wont let me anywhere near it

 

NETSH: How to connect to wifi(SSID) with username and password

I went through the document, I couldn't find the command to connect to ssid with username and password.

lets take an example to explain this.

my wifi name(ssid) : eku_secure

username: abcdef

password: 12345

is there netsh command to connect to wifi through command line with username and password

netsh wlan connect ssid=your_wifi_name username="abcdef" password=12345 (just an example to understand the requirement).

I have created the profile "dot1x_eap_ttls" and connected to ssid "dot1x_eap_ttls_wifi" with below command

netsh wlan connect name=dot1x_eap_ttls ssid=dot1x_eap_ttls_wifi

Result: Output: "Connection request was completed successfully"

But when I check Wifi adapater it is showing Attempting to authenticate ---> Because we need to provide user name password for authenticating ssid "dot1x_eap_ttls_wifi"

Please let me know is there any way to add username and password in command line?

Wifi asking for username and password

I have hunted for months to find an answer to this. I normally just turn the wifi router on and off hundreds of times but I can't be bothered anymore.

Sometimes when I'm trying to connect to the wifi it asks for username and password. I don't know what it could mean though, I have tried username and password for the router (obviously), I have tried it with my username and password on the computer but nothing
works. If anyone could help it would really be appreciated
