  1. WiFi Constantly Drops When Watching YouTube Videos

Sorry for the long post, I've tried to include as much information as possible as to what I've tried so far. For the past few months every now and then when I've been watching videos on YouTube my laptop's WiFi will stop working. Running the network troubleshooter always fixes it, but only temporarily. Over the past few days, the problem has gotten worse, disconnecting every few videos, where normally it only happened once a day or so. This ONLY happens when I watch videos on YouTube. I can play games that use the internet, or use non-YouTube sites for hours with no issue, but when I go to watch a video the WiFi is down within minutes.

    Some things I've tried:

    • Reinstalling my network adapter driver. My adapter is an Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 running its version 18.33.15.1, which is not the latest version (18.33.17.1), but I cannot update it either through the device manager (which says my outdated version is the most up to date version), and there doesn't seem to be an option to manually download it from Intel's page for the adapter. Whatever their PROSet software is has always gotten stuck whenever I've tried to install it.
    • Changed power settings. I've made sure that my power settings for my network adapter are set to max performance.
    • I've disallowed my computer to disconnect from my WiFi network to save power.
    • Resetting my router. I've unplugged the router, both the power cable and the coaxial cable connecting to it.

    Additional Info:

    • My computer is an ASUS ROG GL551J, and is a little under five years old. I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10 over a year ago, long before these problems started happening.
    • When my computer loses WiFi, all possible networks disappear from the list until I run the troubleshooter, so it doesn't seem to be an issue with my internet itself.
    • The only Antivirus I'm using is Windows Defender. I had some problems with a different antivirus causing me to get slow internet in the past, but I was able to fix it. I don't know what options I would change to possibly fix this in Defender.
    • My laptop and router are in the same places they always have been. I am a floor above the router, but I've always used it here and never had any connection issues until these problems started.
    • No one else in my house has had any issues disconnecting recently, and things like my phone don't seem to have any issue.

Again, I apologize for the long post, but I wanted to be as thorough as possible about what I've done so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Internet drops at random when watching Youtube videos.

My Internet will randomly drop when watching a Youtube video (the video will also stop buffering), I am on WIFI but this only happens with my laptop and not with my other devices such as my phone. The weird things is that this only happens with my WIFI at
home. I have tried with Chrome, Edge and Opera browsers and it's all the same. I am running Bitdefender as my anti-virus.

    Thanks a lot ahead!

  3. Youtube drops Wifi but not Netflix

    Hey guys,

Recently, I've noticed an issue where my wifi would drop, and I would get the message that the default gateway isn't available whenever I am watching Youtube. I initially thought it was a speed issue, but netflix and pretty much any other video streaming
is fine. What could be the possible fix for this? I'm running windows 10 with an **** router on a 5G network.

    Any help would be great.
