Windows 10: Wifi continuously disconnects and connects

Hello,I am running Windows 11 on my ROG Strix G18.I am having continuous connectivity issues that started today. It'll show connected I'll select to go to a website the connect drops. I try to upload a small file, and connect drops. I just sit there reading and I watch the connection drop and reconnect This is the only device in my home having issues. My router is not even 6 feet away from my laptop. I have followed some troubleshooting steps I'll list below. But first, I'd like to point out that when I try to follow these two sets of troubleshooting steps, I run into issues.Check the adapter

Wifi continuously disconnects


This just started happening only a few days ago, I'm not sure what might have caused it, but my laptop will suddenly disconnect from my wifi network. sometimes it won't disconnect, but just stop receiving/sending packets. I can tell this because suddenly my pages are stuck loading and skype is trying to reconnect, but nothing happens until I manually disconnect.

I have tried

• Troubleshooting
  
  But I usually get "Your proxy setting could not be recognized" or something, even though I don't have any proxy settings.
• Uninstalling and then reinstalling the latest driver for my wifi card
• disabling power saving for the wifi card as talked about here
• Everything mentioned on the Microsoft page here

This has been driving me crazy, ethernet works fine. I can connect my phone to wifi and tether it to my laptop, so this shouldn't be a problem with the router.

 

WiFi network connection is disconnecting continuously

I tried it, but in my system it showing that we could not start capture, please select start capture and try again.

can you suggest me any other way to clear these network problem.

PROBLEM:

my wifi network is disconnecting automatically many times. it doesn't connect again. when I troubleshoot the network settings then it connect after some time again it will disconnect. same process I am doing continuously lot of times with in a day.

 

Bridging wifi and ethernet connections – wifi keeps disconnecting

Hi all,

I am trying to use Windows to bridge my wifi connection to non wifi devices. I have successfully setup the bridge in Network Connections. However, the wifi only stays connected for a few seconds before it disconnects (everything is working as expected, with wired devices having internet access, until wifi disconnects). This seems to be something to do with the ethernet cable being connected, as when I disconnect the ethernet the wifi stays connected.

Things I have tried:

• Turning off power management and checking bios for any funky power management settings
  
• Setting "Priority & VLAN" to disabled
  
• Disabling "Automatic metic" and setting wifi to priority order – though you don't seem to be able to change this for specific connections when bridged.
  

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

P.S. everything works fine with bridge disabled and using internet connection sharing enabled on the wifi. However I am unable to connect to devices such as printers (hence why I am trying bridged mode).
