  1. WiFi device driver keeps failing Code 10 The requested operation was unsuccessful.

I am not able to see WiFi in my laptop. I did all the troubleshooting methods provided in general guides on Microsoft website but nothing worked for me. I reinstalled Windows 11 just now and it is still not working. I am not sure if this is driver issue or hardware issue now. When I go to Device Manager and check the driver, I see yellow icon on "IntelR Wireless-AC 9560 160MHz. This is the device status:This device cannot start. Code 10 {Operation Failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful. In the Events log There is 1 error, I am pasting it below:Log Name: Microsoft-Windows-K

  2. Error on primary Win10 Wifi Network Adaper: (Code 10) {Operation Failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful.

I am using a SurfaceBook and I am getting this error on my primary windows 10 wifi network adapter (marvell avastar wireless-ac network driver):

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}

    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

This is preventing me from connecting to wifi in any way, since the driver is busted. I have tried most of the troubleshooting steps found online... namely:

    • uninstalling driver and restarting
    • installing driver directly from manufacturer website
    • restoring windows
    • updating windows
    • resetting network setting
    • reset entire windows image
and none of them seem to help. Can anyone help me?? right now my laptop can't connect to internet at all without an ethernet WiFi device driver keeps failing Code 10 The requested operation was unsuccessful. :(

  3. EdTittel Win User
a request for device descriptor request failed

Maybe it's time to step back from the current efforts, and start over. I suggest you read over this excellent tutorial and try all of its steps: [Solved] Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) for Windows 10 - Driver Easy. The one that may provide you with some easy relief is the one where you uninstall the device whose descriptor is failing, reboot, and see what happens when device enumeration recurs during boot-up. If you're lucky, it will fix itself.

  4. WiFi device driver keeps failing Code 10 The requested operation was unsuccessful.

"This device cannot start. (Code 10) {Operation Failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful" when connecting USB headphone on Windows 10.

Original Title: Badaax UM600 not working with Windows 10

I am unable to use the Badaax UM600 usb microphone with Windows 10. I have tried uninstalling the drivers, rebooting, auto-updating the drivers, using different USB ports and cables but nothing will allow the microphone to work. Device shows as "usb microphone"
in the device manager but shows "This device cannot start. (Code 10) {Operation Failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful" in the properties. Found some updates to my USB host controller drivers but still no success. Microphone did work in Windows 7.
As this is somewhat of a no-name brand, there are no manufacturer drivers that I can find. Any ideas?
