Wifi did work, now doesn't...Got message "... a problem WiFi adapter"

I upgraded from 8.1 to 10.0 2-3 weeks ago. Wifi worked fine until a couple of days ago. Now the icon says "Not connected - No connections are available." But there are! I'm sending this from my Windows 8.1 notebook and it says there are 4 wifi's available and all have a strong signal. When I go to "Control Panel > Network & Internet > Network Connections" it shows Wi-Fi as disabled. When I double click on it it goes thru the motions and shows it as Enabling and then "Enabled", but the Wi-Fi area still shows it as "Disabled". It is an "Intel(R) Wireless-N 7260" (whatever that is I don't know as I'm a definite novice and not a techie)! Then I went to "Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Troubleshooting > Network and Internet". When I tried to repair it, the message said "Problems found...There might be a problem with the driver for the Wi-Fi adapter."I have no idea what caused this to stop working or what to do to get our wifi back!

    :)

  2. WiFi windows 10 problems

I have a Toshiba Satellite A-205. After upgrading to Windows 10 and checking for the latest driver from Intel and Microsoft I still have WiFi problems. When I turn on the computer it seems to be a toss of a coin on whether the Wifi connects. If it doesn't
connect and I try to connect to my network, I get "Cannot connect" message. When I trouble shoot the WiFi connection, it fixes the "problem with access point or wireless adapter" by resetting the wireless adapter and it works. Am I destined to continue troubleshooting
the WiFi everytime I turn on the computer to a failed connection or can I fix this?

    Apps Installation Fails After 75%

Hello Wojciech K., I've resetted my wifi on the phone, but it doesn't work. I got no error code, which was the very frustrating point. I don't know where's the problem.

I would uninstall the driver, go out to Intel and get the latest windows 10 compatible driver and install it.

There is a driver for your wireless adapter and it is windows 10 compatible.

Intel site is here : http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support...wireless/n7260

go to the latest downloads section, click "view all" and download the driver for your card be it either in a 32 bit or 64 bit system.

How do I use the link to get a new driver since my laptop's wifi doesn't work? I'm sending my posts from my 8.1 notebook, but I need the driver downloaded to my 10.0 laptop?

I agree, I'd uninstall the driver.

You have two choices, my preference would be to take an Ethernet cable and connect your lappy to your router directly (you would have to have a Ethernet (network) cable to do this, and you should have LAN ports on your router to connect to) to try allowing 10 to install a new driver on it's own first.

If that doesn't work, then you can get the driver on your notebook and transfer it using a flash drive, then install.

We are traveling in our RV so we don't have access to directly attach via an Ethernet cable since campgrounds just provide wifi and my notebook only has a mini-USB port and my memory sticks are all regular USB size. Since our daughter and her husband will be joining us tomorrow, they have downloaded both the 32 & the 64 bit drivers since they didn't know which I needed (I have a 64-bit laptop). Using the Device Manager, I have located the current driver ( one which must have been damaged somehow). Two questions: 1. How do I uninstall it? and 2. Then, once I have that USB memory stick, how do I install the new driver? Remember, I'm not a "techie"! Thanks!

Wifi did work, now doesn't...Got message "... a problem WiFi adapter"

I finally got to a location where I could attach via an Ethernet cable and downloaded all Windows 10 updates that I hadn't been able to get for almost 3 weeks because my wifi didn't work. Since this problem was known I thought I should do that and see if my wifi would work again. And it did! So I no longer need to uninstall the driver and install a new one. Thanks for the help.
