    Wifi disconnects when internet connection drops


    Hi

    I have a Samsung Note 9 which I use as a mobile hotspot When I connect my Surface Pro 6 to the wifi it works absolutely fine. I mostly use it on the train.

    When the train goes through a long tunnel or area with no signal, the internet connection is lost. Windows senses this and then disconnects from the wifi. How do I stop it doing this?

    I just need to click the network icon in notification area, select my WiFi network and click Connect / Disconnect:

    No it's not cellular. I have an internet service provider and I have a modem and a wifi router installed. In Windows 8 there was no issue as I described. In Windows 10 it's not that simple to connect or disconnect to my broadband. There are NO ISSUES connecting or disconnecting, I can do that but the steps involved are too many compared to the simplistic 2 clicks affair in windows 8.

    thanks alot for effort, it would defenetly work but i got problem in one step,
    when i set action to run a program, i select "shutdown" and nothing happens. how to shutdown ?
