Windows 10: Wifi does not work on brand new computer. Wifi Adaptor not found - Code 45

I just unboxed a Lenovo LOQ and found it very odd that I needed to connect an ethernet cable to complete the setup process. Upon completion, I noticed there was no option for Wifi connections. Nothing in settings. I have done a "Network Reset" countless times. Through Google on another device, I was able to locate the Device Manager and view hidden devices, only to see that the MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7921 Wireless LAN Card is not setup: "Currently, this device is not connected to the computer Code 45. To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer". Again - this computer i

Wifi adaptor problem


Hi, My wifi adaptor suddenly stopped working, but I can connect to internet with Ethernet cable.
Replaced wifi adaptor but still cannot to internet with same.............any ideas?

Wifi Adaptor and Ethernet not working

Neither my Wifi Adaptor nor my Ethernet can connect to the internet. When I enable the Wifi Adaptor, it will connect to the internet for a brief second, before auto-disabling itself again. The same thing happens for the Ethernet connection. I have tried
restarting my desktop, uninstalling both the wifi adaptor as well as the ethernet connector device, typing all sorts of random codes to reset (idk what, but pretty much everything on the net). Also, it's odd but my wifi adaptor and ethernet does not disable
itself UNTIL the moment my computer connects to the wifi. If not connected to the wifi, I am able to see the wifis in the surrounding areas (of course it immediately switches off when I connect to my home wifi).

I am using Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802. 11b|g|n Wifi Adaptor and a Realtek PCLe GBE Family Controller. My computer is a ACPI x4-based PC

Cannot install Windows 10 due to wifi adaptor

Before we proceed, I would like you to provide the information stated below:

• Did you get any error message or code when the installation failed?
• How did you come over the conclusion that you wifi was the once causing the above issue?

As per the information that you have provided, it seems that you Wifi Adaptor is causing a problem while installing the new Windows 10.

As you are connected to the internet via Wifi, I would suggest that you remove the connectivity via this device and connect to the internet directly via your Ethernet cable and check if you are able to install Windows 10.

On the occasion that you are able to install the new OS, you can update to the latest driver for your Wifi adaptor so that it will work with Windows 10.
