wifi driver are not working properly,sometimes its visible othertime its missing

Wifi no longer visible to some but not all devices...

Hi folks

my pc - windows 10 - my home wifi network visible and connects fine
my work pc - windows 10 - my home wifi network visible and connects fine
girlfriends pc - windows 10 - my home wifi network is not visible from the wifi list so cannot connect to my home wifi network
girlfriends phone - android - my home wifi network visible and connects fine
my phone - android - my home wifi network is not visible from the wifi list so cannot connect to my home wifi network


all of the above were working fine with visibility to my home network until about 2 days ago... just to be clear this is one single network...

any ideas on the likely cause and solution would be appreciated...

 

Windows Hello not working properly

Hi Jim,

For us to properly isolate the issue with your Windows Hello, we would like to know the following:

• Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g. updates, software installation)?
• To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what specific troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, we suggest that you try reinstalling your camera driver to resolve the issue.

Wifi adapter missing and not working properly everyday

Hi Roy_268 my name is Ferdinand, I am an Independent Advisor.

There is an issue with your WIFI driver. It may be missing or corrupt.

Please follow the steps below on how to get this fixed.

Please hover your mouse to the Network or Wireless icon at the lower right hand corner then right click it and click Troubleshoot Network. Let the troubleshooter finish until its done then this should either fix the problem or give us an error message.

If that didn't work we need to remove the WIFI driver from the Device Manager and restart the pc to reinstall it.

Here the steps to completely remove a Device off your computer.

Step 1. Use shortcut keys Windows key+ X on Windows 10.

Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry Right-click the problematic device Network Adapters it is either Wireless, or WIFI adapter and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device, and then click the Uninstall button.

Step 5. Reboot the computer.

After the reboot please see it the problem is fixed.

If that still would not work please visit the support website of your laptop or desktop and then download and install the latest Wireless driver then restart the PC.
