Wifi Driver Deleted itself and won't reinstall

After a Windows update my wifi became really buggy and would constantly disconnect and reconnect from the internet. This was annoying but I could usually fix it by using troubleshooter or restarting my laptop. This proceeded to happen for a month or so until a week ago when it disconnected but would not reconnect no matter what I did. So I looked at the drivers and noticed that the one that was supposed to be for wifi was missing. Puzzled, I did a Windows 10 system restart hoping that it would bring back the missing driver. It did not. I then looked up what driver was missing specifically and manually downloaded it from the Intel website for drivers. My laptop temporarily began to connect to the internet again but quickly the driver disappeared again. So now I am stumped as to what I can do to get my laptop to connect to the internet. I tried installing the driver again but it hasn't worked and even when I check for updates or to see if their were any changes to my drivers WIndows says nothing is wrong. I have plugged my laptop into ethernet to see if I could update it but this did not work as well. It is quite frustrating and I have read others on Microsoft forums saying that a similar issue happened to them after an update as well.

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite S55-C5247 that is running Windows 10 (64 bit).

    :)

Macrium is used frequently in this forum. There are experts in using it to recover drives. It's unclear as to why you are struggling to use it. I had not used it and just tried it for the first time and it went smoothly. Maybe these images might help?
