Windows 10: Wifi driver doesnt show up

Hi. So I have an ASUS VivoBook Model A442U.

Sometime ago my laptop had a blue screen and when it restarted my wifi logo is gone. So i checked the device manager and uninstalled my wifi driver, hoping it will get reinstalled when i restart my laptop.

It didnt. So i tried to download the driver manually from the asus website, but aftet i finished installing the driver, it still wont show up in the device manager yes i tried the show hidden icons.

I tried everything but the wifi still doesnt show up.


Pls help me im really desperate

USB problems

checked all of those suggestions an still no luck. They show as being there and enabled but doesnt recognize anything you plug into them. I got a driver checker as well and it lists the drivers as up to date. could this be a bad motherboard?

I suggest that you access the Device Manager and update the Drivers for Network adapter and check. Follow the steps :

• Press Windows + X
• Click on Device manager
• Select and Expand Network Adapter from the list
• Right click and choose "Update drivers"

Method 1: Update Network adaptor.

I suggest you to update your network adaptor drivers and check.

• Press Windows key + X key.
• Select Device Manager.
• In device manager go to Network adaptor.
• Right click and click on Update drive software.

You may also download the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website and install them on your computer.

If the issue still persist, I suggest you to install the network adaptor drivers in compatibility mode and check.



Method 2:



Follow the steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode.

• Download the drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right-click on the installer and click on "Properties".
• Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select previous Operating System from the drop down.
• Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.
