Windows 10: WiFi Driver Update w/o WiFi

Hi,I am trying to update my WiFi driver without internet connection as I cannot access the internet and have no option for wifi. I have the MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922 160MHz Wireless LAN Card and I have been trying to update it. I went to advanced settings and found 3 driver updates needed, which are 1. MediaTek, Inc. - Net - 3.3.2.6222. ASUSTek Computer Inc. - System - 1.0.0.223. ASUSTek COMPUTER INC. - Firmware - 10.1.2.317I have went on to another laptop, downloaded 3.3.2.622 from the microsoft catalog, moved the .cab file to a flash drive, moved the file to my current laptop and extracted th

WiFi Driver Update w/o WiFi

Hi,

I am trying to update my WiFi driver without internet connection as I cannot access the internet and have no option for wifi. I have the MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922 160MHz Wireless LAN Card and I have been trying to update it. I went to advanced settings and found 3 driver updates needed, which are

1. MediaTek, Inc. - Net - 3.3.2.622

2. ASUSTek Computer Inc. - System - 1.0.0.22

3. ASUSTek COMPUTER INC. - Firmware - 10.1.2.317

I have went on to another laptop, downloaded 3.3.2.622 from the microsoft catalog, moved the .cab file to a flash drive, moved the file to my current laptop and extracted the files to a new folder. I then went into device manager, found the wifi card, clicked update driver and then browsed the computer for the files, selecting the folder that held everything I extracted. When I do that, it tells me I have the best driver for my device.

I then restarted the device manager process and this time selected "let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer" and selected 3.3.2.662 and it starts to update, but then I get met with an error code 10 that says "windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install them".

I have also tried to install the .cab file from command prompt with running it as an administrator but it tells me the command dism isn't an option.

 

Intel /WiFi Driver Update

unable to install Intel 3165/7265/8260/8265 WiFi driver on my Dell Laptop w/Win 10 vb_release 19041, repeated failures, unable to complete this installation/update, as downloaded from Dell Support website. Any suggestions?

 

Wifi names

I was wondering can you put anything as a wifi name for example I wanted to put CIA-outpost-#### random number is that illegal? I've seen FBI surveillance van 006 before on my list of wifi names I can pick up.
