Windows 10: WIFI Dropping but comes back when clicking on icon in tray

OK so this has been a running issue on my last three computers 2 Asus GOG towers and a Surface Pro 7, and the only common factors have been Windows 10 and Spectrum. So everything will be fine one minute, then I'll notice that a web page isn't loading, or a download is hanging or something like that. When I hover over the WIFI icon in the tray on the bottom right, it says "internet access", when I click on the icon it pops up the list of available networks, and it will be empty except for my network. Then two second later it'll populate the list and the WIFI will return to normal. This is annoying at the best of times, but it's happening more and more frequently. Like it's happened five times since I started writing this message. Granted I went to the bathroom for a minute or two I'm running Windows 10 with auto-update ON so it's the latest, WIFI card is a Intel Wireless-AC 9560 160mhz.


List of things I've tried

WIFI power management - turned off "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

tried uninstalling, reinstalling and updating drivers

Restarting modem and router

restarting computer which does help sometimes and other times it makes it worse, can't really see a pattern to that one

Disabling and reenabling device

run trouble shooter says everything's fine

engaged airplane mode then turned it off

turned wifi on and off via tray icon

turned random hardware address on and off currently off

metered connection is off

IP is set to auto

Possible to Reorder Icons in the Network Status from Tray?

If I click the wifi icon or cellular icon in the tray, my options are listed as wifi, airplane mode, cellular, and mobile hotspot.

Is there a way to rearrange these so they are in the order wifi, cellular, mobile hotspot, airplane mode?

WiFi icon gone from system tray

WiFi icon has recently disappeared from the tray of my Surface Pro - now to see me network info, I have to swipe from the right and click "network", whereas I used to simply be able to hover over the icon on the taskbar. I went to taskbar settings and
it is not even listed as an option to appear on the taskbar. Think this occurred in relation to a system update recently. Suggestions?
