Windows 10: WiFi Drops out and doesn't reconnect. Tries to connect to neighbor. Windows 7

I have a laptop running windows 7 which has a WiFi connection to my Linksys wireless router. When connected, the connection shows up as a good strength and all is fine. However several times a day it will drop out and it will not automatically reconnect, even though the automatic connection is checked. I can manually reconnect it just fine.But the computer also seems about a dozen other wireless network connections from neighbors.when I left click on the network icon at the lower right of the screen. All of those ALSO have the automatic connection checked. I can un-check them, but if I do that

Wifi Auto Connect


I have a PC out in my building and it runs off wifi, sometimes my modem shuts down and reboots but it will take like 5-10 minutes unless I go all the way back to the house and power cycle it. The problem is my windows 10 is set to auto connect to it but never does unless I click the wifi drop down list then it will reconnect, I was wondering if anyone knows an application that tries to reconnect to a specific wifi more aggressively than windows 10 it gets annoying because if I need to use the pc I cant just look across the room to see if my modem is back, I have to go and check the wifi then it connects.

 

Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

Anomalous WiFi Reconnection

Wondering what (if anything) this was about: WiFi disconnected on wife's computer.

1. Checked, WiFi itself working.
2. Ran Network Trouble Shooter, which usually fixes such problems; failed.
3. Ran Hardware Trouble Shooter, nothing found.
4. Checked Wireless Card in Device Manager; indicated as working properly.
5. Restarted computer; still no WiFi.
6. Although Notification icon was black, clicked on it to see if anything there, found that the WiFi network was "Secured." Clicked on that, saw that it was set to connect automatically, clicked on that, failed. Tried once more, failed, so deselected automatic connection, clicked again, and WiFi was reconnect instantaneously.

I think that that covers most, if not all of the steps I took to fix the problem. Any idea as to what caused this, and as to why non-automatic reconnect worked without even asking for the router's password?
