Windows 10: Wifi drops when closing lid using multiple displays- Windows 11 Home

I've used wifi with the lid closed on my HP Envy for over a year and out of the blue it started disconnected wifi when the lid closed. I've searched the communty but found no answers to resolve this issue for Windows 11 Home. I've checked through power settings, reset all adapters to factory settings, and a few other things online I saw may resolve but to no success. Any help is appreciated.

I would suggest to try the following steps and check if it helps

  Press the Win Key + X to display the
  system menu.
  
• 
  Select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Select Power Options.
  
• 
  On theleft side menu, select the Choose what closing the lid does option.
  
• 
  Look in the Power and sleep buttons and lid settings section.
  
• 
  Use the drop down menus in the
  When I close the lid section and select Do Nothing for both options.

WiFi drops when closing the lid

I have searched the forum for a solution but to no avail. Apologies if this is a duplication.

I have an HP Pavilion laptop that is connected to a Samsung TV via an HDMI cable. Runs Windows 10.

All settings were set up and working to allow the laptop lid to close and continue to work with an external keyboard and screen.

In the last week I have found that when the lid closes, the WiFi connection is lost and when opened and going back to the laptop, WiFi is immediately available again.

Have checked all power settings but cannot fix it........very frustrating and would appreciate assistance.

I did everything you mentioned and everything from the link you gave me regarding network on windows 10 and nothing worked, my wifi still disconnects when I close the lid, like I said, if an hdmi is not connected to the lap and I close the lid the internet
is still connected, its only when I connect an hdmi and I close the lid that's when the internet disconnects, now I know this is a problem with windows, please fix this so I could use my laptop with an external screen and closing the lid without the internet
disconnecting.
