    I'm running Windows 10 on an HP Pavilion. My ISP FIOS is delivering 300/300 Mbps to the router verified. When right next to the router I get 50/50 on my laptop. The driver for the Intel Dual Bank Wiress-AC 3165 is current. I went into the advanced settings and under '802.11n/ac Wireless Mode', I changed the value from 802.11ac to 802.11n. I then began getting 100/100 on the laptop but it soon went back to 50/50. I then changed this same setting from 802.11n back to 802.11ac and began getting 200/200 on the laptop but again, it soon went back to 50/50.What might be going on to cause t

    Hi Annu

    I've had the same problem as Panayiotis1984. Upgraded to Windows 10 on my Lenovo from windows 8.1 - now the wifi is painfully slow. The wifi still works fine on my other devices (smartphone etc).

    I tried the steps that you suggested but they did not bring an improvement.

    Any other suggestions?

    The following are some reasons that may cause of the slow WiFi connection.



    • Corrupted or incompatible drivers.
    • Missing updates.
    • Network connection settings.
    • Hardware or software problems.
    • Inappropriate distance from the router or obstruction.
    • Interference with other devices.
