    First - thanks all for the help so far. I am going to send in some support cash. Thanks again.

    I have a W7Pro64 box with a public network profile. It's cabled into my Xfinity TG1682G "gateway".

    If I'm setup as public network how is it that I can use the HP wifi envy printer? Would other users
    be able to access this printer if they could log into the network via the WiFi?

    I did install support software on my pc that allowed access to the envy, but shouldn't the nature of the
    "public" network profile preclude this?

    configure two network type wifi public and Ethernet private


    Hello,

    I have two network adapters in Windows 10 one wifi for connecting to internet and one Ethernet for local network.
    I need to configure wifi adapter to public network and Ethernet to private network but i can't.

    Inverse it work ( wifi to private and Ethernet to public ) but I don't need that.
    (only wifi adapter have option to be discoverable by others pd in Network Settings -> advanced options )


    I need to share files by Ethernet AND NOT by wifi.

    Any suggestion?

    • Which Windows version is currently running on your phone?
    • Are you able to connect your phone to other public WiFi hotspot?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

    I suggest you to un-install and re-install battery drivers from Device manager and check. Follow the steps:

    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Click on Device Manager.
    • Expand Batteries and right click on Batteries ACPI and click on Un-install.
    • Restart the computer and check.

    If the issue persist, I suggest you to visit HP Envy website and check whether HP has released any firmware updates for Windows 10. If so, please go ahead and install them and check with the issue.
