Windows 10: WiFi Icon is missing from the task bar. Only can connect through Ethernet

Discus and support WiFi Icon is missing from the task bar. Only can connect through Ethernet in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I do not have an option under network and in Internet for WiFi anymore suddenly disappear....     I do not have an option under network and in Internet for WiFi anymore suddenly disappear.

    Missing WiFi icon and could not connect to WiFi

    I have a Surface 2. It was OK the night before, but in the morning, the WiFi icon was missed(in the task bar + Network setting) and could not connect to the WiFi neither.

    wifi icon missing on windows 10.

    I tried all the suggestions listed beforehand and my wifi icon has gone from the notifications area as well as the list in the settings for the task bar and notification area. does anyone know how to get it back? none of the suggestions so far have worked.

    battery icon on task bar

    Hi Pete,

    Windows 10 has a feature to personalize your task bar icons. To retrieve the missing battery icon on your taskbar, kindly follow the steps below:

    • Right click on the taskbar and select Settings.
    • Under Notification Area, click Turn system icons on or off.
    • Look for Power and toggle Power to On. Your battery icon should appear in the system tray again.

    Let us know if this worked.
