Windows 10: Wifi icon missing on windows 10

I had opened my laptop today and the wifi wouldn't connect so I turned it off. However, when I went to go turn it back on, the wifi icon from the task bar disappeared. It is also nowhere to be found in the settings. I looked under Personalizaton > Taskbar > other system tray icons. It wasn't there. Every time I go to network and internet and advanced network settings it just says ethernet, I don't have an ethernet cable. I did a network reset and restarted my laptop. I also restart the windows explorer task in Task Manager and that didnt work. What am I supposed to do?

I tried all the suggestions listed beforehand and my wifi icon has gone from the notifications area as well as the list in the settings for the task bar and notification area. does anyone know how to get it back? none of the suggestions so far have worked.

after windows10 KB4486561 update my wifi icon and wifi list disappeared. My wifi is working very well though. I tried all suggested solution here:

but none of them worked for me. Also I tried to start "network list" service but it popped up error message and it didn't work either. How can I solve this problem?
